Istanbul-based designer Gamze Güven graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Industrial Design in 1987, and completed her master's degree at the METU Faculty of Architecture. Güven has served on the board of directors of the Industrial Designers Society of Turkey (ETMK) since its establishment and has also served as the vice president of the Creative Industries Council Association YEKON for the past 3 years.

Additionally, between 1998 and 2011, she worked as a part-time lecturer in the "Design Culture and Management Certificate Program" at Istanbul Bilgi University. Working as a freelance designer since 1990, Gamze Güven has been working as the manager and creative director at Tasarım Üssü, which she founded, for the last 16 years. Together with her team, she designs products, food, and packaging for clients in many domestic and international sectors. Gülay Gamze Güven, who established her sole proprietorship in 1996 to provide industrial design services, co-founded İdol Tasarım Limited Şirketi with her partner in 1997.

In 2000, she took over the company and changed its name to Tasarım Üssü Limited Şirketi. Since its establishment, Tasarım Üssü has been providing product design, packaging design, and food design to domestic and foreign companies in various sectors, as well as strategic design consultancy services, with the aim of creating innovative designs that guide the market, increase sales, and make a difference. Among the brands served by the team are companies such as Diageo - Mey İçki, Eti, Efes, Est, Sek, Komili, Opet, Balkovan, Anadolu Cam, Bahçıvan, Asın Farm, Lezzo, Atlas Halı, Katia, Vitra, Doğanlar, PSL World, Ritzenhoff, Bodino, Bocchi, Wilco, Sutton Group, and Unilever. The works carried out at Tasarım Üssü hold more than one hundred registered designs. Tasarım Üssü has won many national and international design awards, particularly in the fields of packaging design and food design.
